I am having some strange behavior with my Gallery image viewer software that I installed. It seems as though after uploading a bunch of pics yesterday and verifying that they were working, today when I went to the gallery all of the new pics were gone and just the old ones would show. When I looked in the albums directory all of the pictures were there. I thought it might be a permissions issue so I tried to change some of the permissions on files and it would not let me change them. Everytime I changed the permission it would still be what it was previously. I created just a test text file in the main directory and again tried to change the permissions of it but was not able to.

Any ideas?

John,

I too am having problems changing file permissions for folders using the file manager and cPanel. This happened within the last couple of hours for me. I submited a help ticket about a half hour ago.

I am on server 36.

Hi,

Several things

1) Some permissions with gallery you can not change. The folders/pics become owned by the server itself for sercurity reasons. The only way to change these are to submit a help ticket

2) The CPANEL permissions panel does not work unless you click on and off the tick boxs to get the right number. Changing the numbers alone will not work.

3) However, it sounds like a general problem, please submit a help ticket.

Also, delete the pics if you can do, if not, ask to have them deleted in the support ticket submittance.

I use the gallery remote uploader, very handy!

I am on server 26. Something is def not right cause I just noticed that my squirrelmail setting were erased as well. I had customized look and feel, but now it is back to default.
