mitzibear Posted September 12, 2003 Posted September 12, 2003 Do any of use this site and then ftp it to TCH? Is this allowed on TCH? Also is there a Logo I can pick up some where to use on my website that is a TCH logo. I am wanting to do a Diet Blog and this site allows you to FTP it to your own site if you have one. So just wondering. Thanks Quote
susandennis Posted September 12, 2003 Posted September 12, 2003 Best I can figure out TCH and Blogger are not compatible at all. Blogger does not support active FTP, only SFTP. TCH does not support Blogger's SFTP. (There is some whacko work around to get an SFTP client to work, apparently, but not Blogger's.) Now, having said that, I should point out that I have not actually tried it yet. As soon as my domain name gets connected to my TCH account, I am going to give it a try, but I'm not holding out hope. I use LiveJournal for my day to day journaling and you might consider that. No hosting needed. (It is free but you might need a code to join... if you do, feel free to use 6rnm5aaa489r - http://www.livejournal.com.) Oh and logos... I know they are somewhere... I found them yesterday under a link calld Ads... but I can't find them now. Sorry. ooops found them: http://www.totalchoicehosting.com/help/adimages.htm Quote

susandennis Posted September 12, 2003 Posted September 12, 2003 Wow! Excellent!! Blogger's support people said it couldn't be done without SFTP. TCH said it couldn't help. And here you just went and did it fine and dandy!! I have used Blogger for my knitting blog. Guess maybe there is hope that I can start using it again as soon as my domain name gets reconciled. Thank you so much for posting your success. I'm excited to try it myself. I'm thinking that your diet is going to be every bit as successful!! Good luck with it, too! Quote

KevinW Posted September 13, 2003 Posted September 13, 2003 I 've used Blogger for years without problem. As to FTP issues, I did not find anything at Blogger's web site about SFTP (Secured FTP), but here is a link to their standard FAQ page that talks about how to upload: http://www.blogspot.com/howtoupload.pyra -kw Quote
mitzibear Posted September 14, 2003 Author Posted September 14, 2003 Thanks for that info. Now if I can figure out how to set my blogger up with all my own graphics. Do I do it like I do my webpage? Rock Sign Quote
