scifi_emm Posted September 8, 2003 Posted September 8, 2003 I am experiencing a timout attempting to signup on the silver plan. I made a mistake and went back in the process then fixed and and went to next step (only on first page). So far I am not getting a continued connection. I believe there may be 3 or 4 sockets open. Please kill them and let me know when I can attempt again. I'm stuck at "sending a request to ssl.totalchoicehosting.com. thanks Quote

TCH-JimE Posted September 8, 2003 Posted September 8, 2003 (edited) Sorry that you had this experience and I am glad that everything is now sorted I was going to get you to email us directley and we could have done it another way. A SSL connection is not held open forever it closes after a time out period, otherwise, someone could enter a cyber cafe, buy something on their credit card, then say me come along, backtrack through the history and buy something even bigger! Thankfully SSL stops that from happening along with a whole host of other security measures that people put in place, just remember to close your browser when you have finished!
