Dorsey Posted August 28, 2003 Posted August 28, 2003 How do I send (I think) an icon so that something other than the IE or Netscape icon appears in the Favorites list? I've seen this several times, and don't see how it's done by looking at the source code of sites who do it. If this is the incorrect forum for this, please re-direct me to the correct one. Thanks. TCH-Rob Posted August 28, 2003 Posted August 28, 2003 I would try webmonkeys guide at http://hotwired.lycos.com/webmonkey/01/18/....html?tw=design or you can just Google changing favorites icon, seems to be a good list there Quote
jslagle Posted August 28, 2003 Posted August 28, 2003 It's called a favicon. There is a 16x16 or 32x32 image file named favicon.ico in the home directory. www.favicon.com has a lot of info. They sell favicons too. $75.00 each several graphics programs will create them. I use irfanview. Quote
Dorsey Posted September 1, 2003 Author Posted September 1, 2003 Thanks for this information. I picked up the tool and the instructions, and it's working just fine. I would recommend this to anyone. Quote
