hatmaker Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Hi, After years of trouble-free use, now Cpanel login keeps rejecting my password. When use the reset password option, it tells me an e-mail has been sent to me with a confirmation code. But I never receive the e-mail. I contacted technical support and explained the problem. They sent me a new password which worked, so I went to my control panel and used the option to generate a random password, I copied and pasted it, into a WordPad document so that I would make no mistake when reentering it again. Then I immediately tried to use it but I had the same problem, it was rejected. Again I used the reset password button, again it told me an e-mail had been sent, and once again I never received the e-mail. I contacted tech support again and they sent me a new password. I used it to sign in but this time I didn't change the password they gave me, I simply signed out and then immediately tried to use it again, once again it would not work. I tried one more time to use the reset password button and again saw the message saying a confirmation number was sent to my e-mail on file. It's been over 24 hours and I still haven't received the e-mail. The e-mail address I have on file is working because I tested it from my Gmail and the TCH tech used it to contact me twice. It can't be a typo because I am copying and pasting the passwords. I have no problem signing in to the Cpanel for my other website and all. This all started happening right after I got a Registry Mechanic update. I have since uninstalled Registry Mechanic but the problem persists. I hate to keep bothering the techs. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be? Any help at all would be appreciated. Thank you in advance. Brent My site is, brentberryarts.com my server is the (Don server) Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Not sure what the problem could be. Maybe the techs have an answer. Reopen your ticket and explain it as you did here. Quote
