tdb Posted January 9, 2003 Posted January 9, 2003 Does anyone know how to point a domain, say newdomain.com to a subdirectory on my site? I also want the browser address bar to say "newdomain.com" not my subdirectory address. If this is possible, then how to I set this up and are there any fees for doing so? Thanks for your help. Quote
Andrew Posted January 9, 2003 Posted January 9, 2003 Is 'newdomain.com' hosted here, or somewhere else? I know there's a domain forwarding plan here (see it here) that does that. Andrew Quote
tdb Posted January 9, 2003 Author Posted January 9, 2003 The newdomainname.com would be a registered domain name that would point to a subdirectory of my main site so it would essentially be hosted on my one main account. Quote
Lianna Posted January 9, 2003 Posted January 9, 2003 While you could use a forwarding service to point that domain to a subdirectory on you account, keep in mind: 1) As per the Terms of Service Agreement, you cannot host multiple domains on your account unless it is a reseller account. 2) If you use forwarding, then the address bar reference will not remain as newdomainname.com, but would rather, revert to the account's domain such as accountdomain.com/newdomain/index.htm L Quote
