sheryltoo Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 I was trying to make some changes to some smileys I installed at my SMF message board and got this database error: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'LENGTH(code) DESC' at line 2 File: /home/database name/public_html/sub domain/Sources/ManageSmileys.php Line: 654 Note: It appears that your database may require an upgrade. Your forum's files are currently at version SMF 1.1.7, while your database is at version 1.1.6. The above error might possibly go away if you execute the latest version of upgrade.php. It looks as if I was able to make the changes but I don't know what that means or what I'm suppose to do. I've also noticed that my error log shows numerous errors for the smileys I was installing. It says "file not found" and I'm not sure why since they appear in a drop down list on my message board. Sheryl Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 I would first make a backup of your database and then try upgrading the database using the latest upgrade.php file which should be located somewhere in your install of SMF. Quote
