Hi,

I want to do one of two things.

1) either to add a second 120g Hard drive

2) then Partition them both or just the 120g I have now

I think, I have found a good program for this: PartitionMagic

http://www.provantage.com/buy-7PQST16W-par...k1-shopping.htm

My main question is:

If I use this to partition my drive or drives I would want to set up:

c: windows xp 2g

d: program files 30g

h: game files 10g

i: resurve for OS a 2g

j: resurve for OS b 2g

k: photos 30g

L: video's 44g or other

using the one drive

second drive will be video only

If I do all this :

Do I need to re-map? (not sure about this) to tell XP where to put every thing and is it easy to do?

If your drive comes with a cd to setup the drive, then use that to create the 2 gig partition and then install XP. The other partitions can be set up in XP using the Computer management console. Just right click My Computer and click on Manage, look down the selections until you find Disk Management and select it. You can then partition and format all unallocated space on the drives. This takes only a few minutes. If you don't want to reinstall XP then I recommend you use Partition Magic. Partition Magic allows you to change partition size without loss of data.
