I'm not sure which section to post this, so please move it if this is not the right section.

The company I work for has a client that called me this morning saying an email from our office is being flagged on his end as spam. We have our own domain that's used for email addresses. He asked me to ping his email address so he could flag it and keep whatever comes from us from being labeled as spam. I have never done this before and don't know how to do this. I looked online and could not find anything on it. If someone could help me out, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

I've never heard of pinging an email address. All you should need to do is send an email message to him so that he can move it from his spam list to his white list. Or just ask them to white list your domain name.

I had never heard of that either, but I thought it was something I had never heard of before. I'll shoot him something and let him deal with it on his end. Thanks.

Ping is becoming more of a slang term with the tech folks and they use it in place of several communication tools, email in your case. I'll be talking to other support techs in different locations on Sametime (IM) and they will say "ping me later" and they do not mean the actual "ping" command...they mean IM.

So just send them an email.
