When I send my ftp info to customers via email, it's only natural they will click on it and it automatically opens in explorer, where they will get errors.

Isn't there an easier way? I get too many customers call me and tell me that there is an error, when I know there has to be a better way.

I have seen it once where instead of the error page they got the instructions on how to do it properly. Aren't there any solutions to make it easier for Explorer users.

Thanks

Microsoft has caused more problems than it's worth to use a browser for FTP. I recommend that they use Firefox with the FireFTP extension.

If you are just sending them links to download files, you can use http://path-to-file and it will download.

You can also check out AnyClient, it's a browser based FTP client.
