aml1676 Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 (edited) I'd love to be able to host images on the server, rather than use something like photobucket or Flickr, but I can't seem to make it work. I need help troubleshooting... it looks to me like I'm doing it right, but I still can't get them to show up. Help? ETA: the address of the particular post I'm having difficulty with is http://feather-light.com/2008/08/talk-abou...r-dust-bunnies/ - can someone view the source, and tell me if the tag looks wrong? My domain name is http://feather-light.com, and I've uploaded the images via FTP (FileZilla) to the images folder under /public_html. Edited August 12, 2008 by aml1676 Quote
boxturt Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Try changing h**p://feather-light.com/public_html/images/starena_1.jpg to h**p://feather-light.com/images/starena_1.jpg Welcome to the forums. Quote
aml1676 Posted August 12, 2008 Author Posted August 12, 2008 Thanks for the welcome! I've tried just about every combination I can think of, including your suggestion, and it didn't work... I've edited it now, and it's still not working. :-( Quote
TCH-Dick Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 You had incorrect permissions set on the images directory, which I have now corrected and your photos are displaying fine. Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Welcome to the forums aml1676 If your images folder is in the public_html folder you can shorten your links to the following. > Quote
aml1676 Posted August 12, 2008 Author Posted August 12, 2008 Awesome! Thanks for the help - I was at a loss! Quote
aml1676 Posted November 9, 2008 Author Posted November 9, 2008 It's me again - I'm having the same problem with my latest post... it worked fine lastnight when I posted with images, but won't work tonight. Help! I've changed absolutely nothing about file settings or anything since the first time this happened back in August. Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 If it´s the image 100_0390.jpg try changing it to 100_0390.JPG or rename the image to jpg. Please remember that linux systems are case sensitive. Quote
aml1676 Posted November 10, 2008 Author Posted November 10, 2008 Well, now I feel like a moron. Thank you for the help! Quote
