ejh Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 I currently use Microsoft FrontPage for web design, but would like to have a content management system component for clients. Is there any way to do this through FrontPage 2003? The newer FrontPage? I looked through the Fantastico content management systems. How difficult is it to make the transition from FrontPage to a CMS? Are there any free CMS that don't have the copyright/"powered by" statement at the bottom? Thanks in advance for your advice. Quote
OJB Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 have a look at: http://www.opensourcecms.com there are loads of CMSs you can trial before you install, all are open-source (hence free - and in the case of the more reputable ones, very well supported) have a look under the portals section as I believe these may be what you are looking for? ejh Posted August 11, 2008 Author Posted August 11, 2008 Has anyone gone from FrontPage to a CMS? Recommendations? Quote
Prel Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 (edited) I recommend XOOPS and Joomla. If you have an account in TCH, go to your Cpanel / Fantastico. If does not, contact your Life Help Online and help open an account for hosting in TCH. There you will find Xoops and Joomla. Edited August 12, 2008 by paulo Quote
