Gres Posted August 2, 2003 Posted August 2, 2003 Hey! I am new to TCH but from what I see it is great! Well anyways to my situation. I have bought the 4 dollar hosting plan here and have split the cost with my sisters. However, They know practically nothing about how to build a website. To save them the headaches I want to make there experiemce as simple as possible. I was under the impression that it was possible to make it so that I could give someone there own directory (subdomain) and allow them access to it exclusively. In other words can I somehow make them a seperate account within my own? Not an account but a profile or something along that line. I want to give them access to a sub directory and an ftp ALONE. Is this possible? Am I explaining it clear enough? Sorry if not :-/ I would be happy to clear it up if I am not. But Please! Help! Thanx Gre Quote
leezard Posted August 2, 2003 Posted August 2, 2003 (edited) go to your cpanel and create a subdomain for each sister. ex: sister1, sister2,sister3 etc. now go to the ftp section and create an ftp account for each sister, in the directory portion enter sister1 for sister 1, sister2 for sister2 and so on. if you have aproblem you can ask me on aim, screen name is leezardmik, i can walk yo thru it Edited August 2, 2003 by leezard Quote
