Around October of 2006 I discovered that I could use Fantastico to install Moodle to my website. Moodle is a distance learning tool, and as a high school teacher, I was looking forward to using it. I've been trying to learn it, though I haven't had much of a chance to design anything in it. However, that's beside the point.

I wanted to install another instance of moodle on my website, but when I went to use Fantastico again, it is not listed. Is Moodle not supported anymore?

Thank you,

Matt Brent

Since Moodle can be resource intensive on a server it has been removed from Fantastico. You can always download and install a copy but be warned if it becomes resource intensive you may be asked to move to your own dedicated server.

For the layman, what do you mean by "resource intensive"?

Basically it can cause your account to take the majority of the resources ( cpu ) for the server. Whilst this is not a problem on a dedicated server, it's not fair on other users on a shared server.
