MRM4TN Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 I have someone that wants me to take over his web site. His current webmaster is nowhere to be found (typical of this guy). His domain expires on Sunday and it's important to him to keep his domain. The domain is in the name of the webmaster. If I backorder it and the webmaster decides to be a jerk and renew it, will my order be cancelled instead of having that pending charge floating for a future backorder? If I can get the domain, I am going to set up his site through TC. Quote
TCH-Andy Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 When is he likely to be back ? He is the only person who can initially get it back, when it goes into the redemption period. It will be a couple of months before it becomes available for you to pick up, so I'd strongly suggest you get him to pay for it ( or hopefully he has it on automatic renewal, and it will be renewed). Failed backorder costs are floating for future backorders. Quote
MRM4TN Posted February 14, 2008 Author Posted February 14, 2008 Myself and the business owner have made numerous attempts to contact him about transferring the domain to us and we have not heard from him. He's a young and immature kid. I have picked up 3 other of his web sites that he basically stopped maintaining. Quote
