mke1963 Posted November 11, 2007 Posted November 11, 2007 From one problem to another..... The CPanel File Manager seems a little flaky. I try renaming a file and it doesn't "take". So instead of clicking on the filename, I then tried selecting the file and using the 'Rename' button. Same thing. Doesn't take. As I said in an earlier post, Web Disk doesn't work. Same thing when I want to delete a file. The file or folder just won't disappear! I have noticed that sometimes (and only sometimes) if I close and reopen CP File Manager **then** the file gets renamed or deleted as required.....but not always. And this isnot a particularly convenient way to work. <sigh> Any suggestions? Am I missing something? - Mark Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted November 11, 2007 Posted November 11, 2007 If the renaming etc works sometimes and sometimes not and you have cleared cache or closed the browser and checked again (and its still have the old name), I would try another browser or open a ticket and ask the techs to look in to it. mke1963 Posted November 11, 2007 Author Posted November 11, 2007 Thanks. It does eventually take...but still somewhat flaky. Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted November 11, 2007 Posted November 11, 2007 As Thomas says it could be your browsers cache causing the issues. I don't like the new File Manager program in cPanel. It seems quirky to me sometimes as well. If you use the Legacy File Manager the issues you are mentioning never seem to happen. Quote
Bob Crabb Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 I don't like the new File Manager program in cPanel. It seems quirky to me sometimes as well. I'm glad that I'm not the only one who thinks that. I really like some of the features, but overall I am having a hard time getting used to it. Of course I might just be suffering from the old dog new tricks syndrome. Quote
