Hi,

Once again I am looking for you experts to sort out my little problem.

How do I password individual files on my website?

Can I use Cpanel or do I need to use other software?

NOTE: It is FILES I wish to password NOT complete FOLDERS.

Can this be done at all?

Thanks.

You're going to want to use an .htaccess file. Someone else on here more familiar with the cpanel application will be able to tell you how much you can do with it to manipulate the .htaccess file.

But, you can just log in with an ftp client (like CuteFTP) and either edit the file directly on the server or download it and edit it locally (and then re-upload it). I found a good resource at this link.
