Hi, Once again I am looking for you experts to sort out my little problem. How do I password individual files on my website? Can I use Cpanel or do I need to use other software? NOTE: It is FILES I wish to password NOT complete FOLDERS. Can this be done at all? Thanks.

This is the probem: If you copy and paste the HTML generated by Cpanel, you'll see that it does NOT transfer accurately. Solution: Write it down and retype it into FrontPage. You'll find that it works perfectly. I thank you. (Applause)

Cheval, I had the same problem. Go to the HTML code itself and remove the .dat from the middle. This worked perfectly for me

All sorted - I used DreamweaverMX, rightclicked and added HTML there. At first, that didn't work, but I then removed the .dat bit from the HTML in FP and... Waaaaaaaaaaaay ! - Success www.welsh-wizard.net Cheers all - Speak again soon I'm sure

Help, I went to the Counter section in CPanel, previewed and made my HTML, then used FrontPage (Office XP) to place the HTML where I thought it should go. I then previewed it in FP, and uploaded the page, but alas, all I saw was the actual HTML text! What do I need to change or add please ? When I use the HTML tag of Frontpage (OfficeXP) to insert this, all it does is put this text on the page ! What is missing? - SOmething to tell it that it is code and not text perhaps? I got SNH to host www.welsh-wizard.co.uk for me. Now, I want them to host www.welsh-wizard.net. I own both, but I cannot get a response from SNH- WHY? Will they oblige with my request, or should I move elsewhere? Please offer support someone. I only bought .net because they wouldn't host .co.uk !

Again, thx for your help, but I have already contacted 1and1.co.uk who admit that DNS management CANNOT take place with them. If I cancelled my domain nmae, would I be able to re-buy it somewhere else?

I am with 1and1.co.uk at the moment - this WILL change www.welsh-wizard.co.uk is the name of the domain, and the problem with transferring was the IPS tag or something. Typically, no-one tells me anything about this b4 I sign up ! The link does not left-click for me - is it my browswer settings perhaps? - I HAVE to right-click and Save as... Can ppl check this once more for me please? - I will check out my browswer settings if this is the case.

I looked into transferring it, but you told me that it could not be done - is this really the case as I would like to transfer it now - to SNH! I also have the problem of the URLs being masked, so every time someone refreshes a page, they end up back at the index ! Please tell me how I can transfer the domain name. Can I give it up and re-register it? How long would this take? Is the Webalizer problem to do with the URL name being masked?
