How's The Subscription Thing Work?

I'm not subscribed to this Forum. The menu bar gives me the choice of being subscribed so I guess that settles that.

 

I never do subscribe to forums.

 

I subscribe to Topics.

 

But I'm getting email notifications of new threads - new topics on the forum. I came here today because I got a notification of that thread just started by 'yummy'.

 

But I didn't get a notification of the new posts to my thread about removing image verification on Advanced Guest Book.

 

Is this feature working okay for everyone else?

 

Is it something i've done or not done?

If you go to "My Controls" and look under subscriptions, you can select Forums and see if you somehow got subscribed to particular forums and unsubscribe.

There are a few forums that everyone are recommended to subscribe to though, to have important news about the server they are on.

 

These are:

The specific server you are on.

 

TCHNOC General Announcements

TCHNOC Network Maintenance if your server is in the TCH NOC.

 

General Server Announcements (Partner Data Centers) if your server is in a partner datacenter.

 

Support Announcements

 

To only subscribe to individual threads in the above forums are not recommended since then you will only be notified of old threads and not current server problems.
