I've been following the beta testing on this one. It looks the best new MT in a long time. They went through a public beta with 7 beta versions and 4 Release Candidates before release. I unfortunately didn't have time to play with it.

 

There's a new interface, modular templates, built in podcasting support, a WYSIWYG editor and more. They are also making MT open source here in the near future.

 

They've also put a lot into new documentation, a sore point in the past, and created 3 new websites - www.movabletype.com is the info site, www.movabletype.org is the community site and blog and they also revamped the plugin directory. The most comprehesive revamp of MT in the 4 years I've been using it.

 

I'm pretty exited about trying it, but I'm waiting until all my plugins get upgraded.
