silica
Recently, my site was moved to the TCH-NOC. When I used to log in to Cpanel, the identity of the server would be displayed at the top, e.g. 43. Now that the server has been changed, I don't see any indication on Cpanel as to the name of the server. Is there somewhere else this information is available? AllisonN
If you are unsure what server you are hosted you can check that at http://www.tchstatus.com/whatsmyserver.php Hi Bruce - The server# doesn't come up in any of my domain's cpanels either (reseller account with multiple domains), nor do any of my domains work when I try that link...they all come back with "The domain or IP you entered wasn't found in our list." TCH-Carl
Please drop in a help desk ticket using the link given in the top menu so that we can check your server and add the cpanel welcome message with the server id

AllisonN
Thanks for the welcome - I originally created a login a few years ago...and a few e-mail addresses ago (LOL), so I figured it was time to actually create a new login instead of lurking
AllisonN
Welcome to the forums AllisonN Please follow tch-Carl's advice and open a help desk ticket. Thanks. I tried that link again today and it worked... I think it not working yesterday and the similarly-timed changes in my Fantastico were due to the Server 116 migration that took place yesterday. From reading http://www.totalchoicehosting.com/forums/i...showtopic=32319 also, I'm thinking the reason some of my files were MIA yesterday morning was due to the backup being what was transferred to the new server, so anything I did after my sites were backed up but before they were migrated was completely lost. AllisonN
If you open a ticket with the help desk they will be able to help you. If the changes I did were after the backup was made that they moved over, I wouldn't be able to get those changes back anyway. Since it was only a small handful of things that I still had backed up on my computer, I just recreated them. But reading about the server migration it seems to explain a few things that happened all at the same time.
TCH-Bruce
The accounts on the server were moved. It may be possible to move content you updated after the backup was made that was trasnferred since the old server still exists for a couple of days after a server move if possible. You should subscribe yourself to the forum for your server. Server moves are announced several days in advance of the move if at all possible to inform you to not make changes to your account in that time frame. TCH-Carl
Make sure that you have given an email address that is not connected to this server or else you might not receive the alert when the server is down
