TCH-Bruce Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 Question for those of you that have upgraded to version 2.2 of Wordpress. When you are writing a post is your categories list displaying properly? I have converted 4 blogs of 8 so far. Two of them the categories appear as they should. The other two they appear like this. ><!--enp_cat_start-->Cameras<!--enp_cat_end--> Each category I have defined appears like this. It's not parsing the list properly. Any ideas? Quote
jamestl2 Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 I just started using wordpress (2.2, so no converting involved) and all my categories display fine (I have seven of them). Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted May 20, 2007 Author Posted May 20, 2007 I've been using Wordpress for over three years. Apparently this happened during a prior update not the 2.2 update. I just became aware of it. Quote
Bob Crabb Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 I only have one WP blog, and have not had any problems since the upgrade. Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 I have never run in to that problem. Not that I can remember anyway. Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted May 20, 2007 Author Posted May 20, 2007 Thanks to TCH-Dick for helping me figure out what was causing it. It was the Edit 'n Place plugin. Thanks Dick! Quote
ijstokes Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 I'm having this same problem, due to the use of Edit 'n Place plug-in prior to an upgrade to WP v2.2. How did you "clean" the categories to remove this? Did you have to do it directly in the DB? Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted June 5, 2007 Author Posted June 5, 2007 Welcome to the forums ijstokes. Remove the Edit 'n Place plugin is the only solution. Maybe the developer will fix it in the next release. There is nothing in the database to clean. The plugin is adding that information during the displaying of those items. Quote
