phatfunkjazz Posted July 14, 2003 Posted July 14, 2003 I just moved from Olympia, WA to Antrim, NH...drove across the country in 4 1/2 days. I guess I've been pretty spoiled with a ComCast cable internet connection (never down, VERY fast), which made my web site maintenance quick and efficient. Also, I do all my work (?) on a Pentium IV running Windows XP. My new home has a DSL internet connection, with all the computers (Macintosh) networked to an Apple Airport HUB...sigh! I won't be able to update my site until I get my PC set up and connected via a wireless card (WI-FI 802.11b protocol). This means I must dig in my heels to learn yet another aspect of computers: networking . I just purchased a WI-FI card online, when it arrives I'll open up my PC, install it and then try to configure it to work with the Apple hardware. No complaints, it's just interesting how much I took my little web design life for granted. I'm humbled by the increased learning curve, yet ready to take this project on. By the way, it's been fun accessing the TCH forums with a Macintosh 9 computer. Stefan Quote
