Just wondering if it is possible to upload multiple files at once via cpanel rather than one file at a time. I plan to add many more pages to my site and it could seem to get really tedious to upload 50+ pages one at a time just because I may make a small change to my template or CSS.

Thanks

Yes

Zip them up and upload the zip file and then extract it in cpanel.

One zip file uploads much faster that many small files.

But why do you need to upload the pages just because the css file changes?

Do they not link to the css file?

I zipped them up and the zip file is now in cpanel. I clicked on "Extract File Contents", but it did not do anything, I get the message "File Type: Web Pages.zip: Zip archive data, at least v2.0 to extract "

What did you use to zip them? And take the space out of the filename.

Took the space out

I just created a new compressed folder and copied and pasted the pages from my C Drive into the zipped folder. (C Drive is where my pages have been stored and edited from)

OK, I do not understand what is going on

I unloaded the zip file and nothing happens.

All the web pages in the pathname: (/ public_html / (Current Folder) ) are still the same,

but the web pages in the pathname: (/ public_html / Web Pages / (Current Folder) ) are the new ones I just unzipped,

I enter the URL to the website in my browser and the old pages show up, I am unsure of what else to do

You did not say which new zip program you tried.

Any way if you want to replace the files in your root (public_html) folder

make sure when you zip up the files that you do not zip up the folder that they are in

go into the folder where the new files are and zip them up so there is no folder in the zip file.

then upload to the root

select the file name of the zip file in file manager and on the right select extract./

However it does not look like file manager will replace existing files.

So they will need to be deleted first using an ftp program.

You may want to look into using a php template system

see mini php tutorial

And Php Mini tutorial 1

Then you can change the look of your site with just two files plus your css file.

And adding new pages is as easy as

include the header

display content

include the footer

All Right, I found a way to upload the files with the dreamweaver 8 ftp program. But now none of the links are working, and the pages are still in the "public_html" folder, the addresses the links are creating are acting as if there should be a "Webpages" folder in between them (Which I tried to redirect to earlier)

So how would I restore the original links?

Thanks
