I just created a second email account via the "Mail" link in cpanel.

What methods can I use to login to that account and check/send email?

Thanks.

You can access the mail account using any email client or log in using webmail to read it. Go to your-TCH-domain.ext/webmail and login.

My mistake...I was only entering the email 'name' (the characters to the left of the "@") but I should have been entering the full email address as the username.

Is there a way to go directly to squirrel mail?

I thought it was: domain.ext/sqmail but that didn't work.

Go to your-TCH-domain.ext/sqmail

You still have to login with your email address and password.

I tried that again but I keep getting this:

Warning: Unknown(): open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/usr/local/squirrelmail-1.4.8/index.php) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/username:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php:/tmp) in Unknown on line 0

Warning: Unknown(/usr/local/squirrelmail-1.4.8/index.php): failed to open stream: Operation not permitted in Unknown on line 0

Warning: Unknown(/usr/local/squirrelmail-1.4.8/index.php): failed to open stream: Operation not permitted in Unknown on line 0

Warning: (null)() [function.include]: Failed opening '/usr/local/squirrelmail-1.4.8/index.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in Unknown on line 0

Any idea what I'm doing wroing?

Here's another question about multiple email accounts.

When I log into cpanel and access Squirrel Mail, which email account is that instance?

If you log in via cpanel - then you are using your cpanel username and password, so it's the initial "default" for your domain. I'd suggest setting your default to :fail: for all unrouted emails (it saves getting a lot of spam) and then logging in using the email username and password for each email account.

Believe it or not, that cleared up a bunch of 'lack-of-understandings' that I had regarding webmail.

Thank you.
