How mutch separate websites/domain names can be in single account?

Welcome to the forums Oleg

You can have 1 domain and 1 web site per virtual account.

You can park other domain names on top of the first one as long as it points to the same starting point of the original domain.

On virtual accounts you may only park domains on top of others, not not point domain A to subfolder A, domain B to subfolder B, etc...

All domains on virtual accounts must point to the same content.

To do what you want you would need a reseller account.

No, you cannot point additional domains to subfolders of the primary domain. You can with a reseller hosting package.

To host multiple websites requires that you have a reseller account or purchase multiple packages.

I was just looking at the hosting plans pages and they ALL say that every account comes with unlimited subdomains, which would seem to indicated that Oleg could do what he was wanting to do. Am I missing something? Is this a recent change?

My concern with this issue is slightly different... I am interested in a reseller plan that allows multiple domains. Some may be subdomains, some may be third-level domains, some may be full-fledged separate domains. And all I see listed on the reseller page is 'unlimited subdomains' - although the text in the sidebar speaks of domains.

Can I please get clarification?

A reseller account can host unlimited domains, as well as unlimited subdomains.

You can also point a domain at a subdomain if you want to in a reseller account.

Wow! Fast response, thanks!

Is that in writing somewhere? (well, it's now in writing in this thread I suppose...)

Does Tch distinguish between subdomains and third-level domains? I consider a subdomain to be included in its parent's dns AND resources, but a third-level domain is only included in its parent's dns. To illustrate/clarify:

www.example.com is the parent

blog.example.com is a subdomain - points to a subdirectory in the parent account and shares quota/limits/cpanel with the parent.

soho.example.com is a third-level domain - has its own cPanel, its own quota/limits, has no impact on example.com except that its dns is in example.com's zone.

(blog would be setup from example.com's cPanel but soho has to be setup in WHM as a new account)

So. Does Tch distinguish between these 2?

thanks,
