Outgoing Traffic Being Blocked On A Port?

I have a script which connects to a remote server on port 8080. From what I can tell, my code and the remote server are working just fine. Is outgoing/incoming traffic being blocked on this port, perhaps?

Many outgoing ports are blocked by the firewall on the server - yes.

 

Open a ticket at the help desk if you need a specific port opened - and we'll see what we can do.
