Guest Stuart Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 I am looking at changing hosting company and wonder if you can give me the following details please. - How long have you been in business? - What are the specs for your shared and reseller servers? - What datacenter do you use? - Do you have uptime statistics? - Is my account easily upgradeable? Is there an upgrade fee? - If you upgrade packages during the time of my hosting, do you automatically upgrade the package that I have. - How many people are on your support staff? - Do you have a file I can download to test system speed? - Do you have a money back guarantee? - Do you have an uptime guarantee and if so is it server uptime or network uptime? - Do you perform regular backups or am I responsible for my own backups? - Are there any scripts that you don't allow to run on shared plans? Thanks very much. Stuart Quote
TCH-Andy Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 Hi Stuart, welcome to our Forums - How long have you been in business? since 2000 - What are the specs for your shared and reseller servers? The spec is generally Quad Xeon 2.8GHz processors at the current time (we update servers to maintain good specs on them all) - What datacenter do you use? We use a number of DC's - please see About our Datacenters - Do you have uptime statistics? Our uptimes are around 99.9% across all servers. - Is my account easily upgradeable? Is there an upgrade fee? Yes, and no there is no charge (just the cost of the new package) - If you upgrade packages during the time of my hosting, do you automatically upgrade the package that I have. Yes - How many people are on your support staff? We have 11 main staff at the moment - see Meet the staff - Do you have a file I can download to test system speed? Please feel free to have a look at a range of Some Sites hosted at TCH - Do you have a money back guarantee? Yes, a 30 day money back guarantee - Do you have an uptime guarantee and if so is it server uptime or network uptime? We do not provide an uptime guarantee - no - Do you perform regular backups or am I responsible for my own backups? Yes, we do - but you are ultimately responsible for your data and backups (because only you know how valuable it is). - Are there any scripts that you don't allow to run on shared plans? There are a number of shell scripts and scripts that cause loads that are banned - yes (for example teamtalk) Quote
