bullfrog007 Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 Hi all, I completely new to Joomla, but I'm trying to learn through this site. I have used plone but it has been quite some time since I've done any coding. I am trying to build a volunteer community web site using Community Builder and Task Hopper. Has anyone had any experience with these two components/extensions? Any words of advice? Finally, about how much room do I need for about 100 members (I'm only going to allow them to post a picture of themselves and no large content.) Thanks! jeremy Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 Welcome to the forums Jeremy Sorry, I have not used any of those tools but hang tight and maybe one of our members that has will lend some advice. As for how much space do you need don't worry about it. You can upgrade your plan at anytime by opening a ticket with the help desk. So you can start small and upgrade as needed. Quote
PeterPeter Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 You are best to check on the Joomla forums for support with Addons and Components as they would have more traffic about them. I use Joomla but not the components you are referencing. Also keep in mind that the Beta release for Joomla 1.5 has been released so it shouldn't be too long before a stable release of it is in the wind, probably 1st quater new year. Then it any sites will need to be ported over and that is still in discussions as the new version is a complete rewrite of the coding and slightly different admin structuring as well. The other thing there will be components and addons that need to be rewritten as well to work with the new version. Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 Welcome to the forum, Jeremy. I am in the process of adding the community builder to a joomla site I am building, so please let us know how it goes. The Task Hopper is something I have never heard of, but will look in to what it is. Quote
