Help With Uploading New Files To Existing Website

I am trying to upload an entirely new website to an already existing one. How do I do this? I tried ftp ing the files, but the website still looks like the original. Do I have to somehow erase the old files? Also, can I find an easy way to convert .asp pages(in Front Page) to .html. I recently had my website redesigned by someone else, but they have it on a windows server. I want to bring it onto TCH's linux servers.

First make sure you have a back up of the old files just in case.

Then in your ftp program navigate to the public_html folder.

That is where your files should be.

You can highlight and delete the old files.

Then upload the new files.

 

If the new files are .asp as you know they won't work here.

I do not know asp so I can't advise on converting them.

But maybe some one else may have an idea.
