ictus Posted August 28, 2006 Posted August 28, 2006 Hi, I'm looking at a resellers account and have some very newbie questions. 1. How is payment taken for the accounts I host, ie do you handle all that side using automatic systems? 2. Can I set up accounts that would be free for the first 12 months that would then need payment to renew? 3. If there is a problem with the customers account is it TCH or myself that has to sort it out? 4. If I decide at some point to stop being a reseller, what can be done for any existing users? 5. Can I brand the reseller account? That's all for now Quote
TCH-Tim Posted August 28, 2006 Posted August 28, 2006 1. How is payment taken for the accounts I host, ie do you handle all that side using automatic systems? You handle that however you want. We give you space - you create and price your own packages, handle your own billing, and so on. 2. Can I set up accounts that would be free for the first 12 months that would then need payment to renew?See #1 3. If there is a problem with the customers account is it TCH or myself that has to sort it out? If it is a server issue we would sort it out, just like with any other account. Ideally you would be able to handle the basic account-level stuff, but of course we're always here to help. Regardless of the issue though your customers should be contacting you as their provider. If you are unable to help them, you can contact us. Please do not send your customers to our help desk. 4. If I decide at some point to stop being a reseller, what can be done for any existing users? They can purchase hosting plans from us and we will take care of them. 5. Can I brand the reseller account? It's all yours, so if you don't brand it, nobody else will. Quote
ictus Posted August 28, 2006 Author Posted August 28, 2006 Thanks, it doesn't sound like the kind of package I'm looking for, which is a shame as I know what this place can do, I'll look at one of the white label style offerings. But if I don't like what I see I'll just go for paying for a copanies first year of space here and leaving the rest to them, as I don't want my clients upset with bad hosting, and I know the hosting is very good here. as a side question, can I pay for hosting a basic account for one year for someone else, then remove my payment info so it isn't renewed using my details? TCH-Thomas Posted August 28, 2006 Posted August 28, 2006 For the side question... You should be able to do that, but you can always open a ticket to the billing people and they will confirm it. Quote
