Twisted Posted December 23, 2002 Posted December 23, 2002 I backed up my files and such but the damn zip file or whatever won't open for me to view the files. It keeps giving me this error. Invalid Compressed Data -- Unable to inflate. Sucks that I wasted bandwidth downloading something that doesn't even work. Why wouldn't it work?? Quote
Lianna Posted December 23, 2002 Posted December 23, 2002 Do you mean the cPanel backup function? Go to cPanel, click on Documentation and then un-collapse Access Menu, then click Backup: Note for Windows users: This file is in .tar.gz format (a GZIP archive file that contains a TAR archive file). This is a common archive format used on Unix machines, in the same way that .zip is a common Windows archive format. Most compression utilities should be able to uncompress a .tar.gz file. It will work, by using the cPanel Restore function. But, as the documentation reads, perhaps the zip app that you are using does not recognize the format. Lianna Quote
