Jeren Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 Just to clarify, I saw the thread regarding someone's databases. I'll assume that not just the databases but the entire server was backed up on July 8th? I'm just wondering if I need to reupdate my phpBB boards or not. Thank you. Quote
stevevan Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 If you are really concerned, I'd drop a note to the help desk. (Link above.) Remember tho'...it's YOUR responsibility to ensure your data is backed up. TCH does it just in case of situations like this. If your data is THAT important, there are several ways that you could set up a daily backup. Search the forums and you'll find a few options. Quote
Jeren Posted July 17, 2006 Author Posted July 17, 2006 Thankfully, a handful of the phpBB's hosted on our space did back up last week. My only concern is if I need to update again. Thats not a problem. Just a trivial question. Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 The backups for s 81 was one or two days old if I remember correct and I believe the server is up and running now, so if anything looks weird or posts from your phpbb are missing, please open a ticket. As for how often to backup, the more important your data is, the more often you should backup. Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 Doesn't your admin panel in phpBB tell you what version you are running? Is it the current version? If not upgrade again. Quote

Doesn't your admin panel in phpBB tell you what version you are running? Is it the current version? If not upgrade again. I believe it does. I'll use that as my guide, I suppose. Thanks for the help. Now off to update a few boards again. Quote
