S81 Question

Recommended Posts

Just to clarify, I saw the thread regarding someone's databases. I'll assume that not just the databases but the entire server was backed up on July 8th? I'm just wondering if I need to reupdate my phpBB boards or not. Thank you.

If you are really concerned, I'd drop a note to the help desk. (Link above.) Remember tho'...it's YOUR responsibility to ensure your data is backed up. TCH does it just in case of situations like this. If your data is THAT important, there are several ways that you could set up a daily backup. Search the forums and you'll find a few options.

The backups for s 81 was one or two days old if I remember correct and I believe the server is up and running now, so if anything looks weird or posts from your phpbb are missing, please open a ticket.

As for how often to backup, the more important your data is, the more often you should backup.

Agreed. Thankfully, I backed up things last week (for the most part) to update the boards to 2.0.21.

Doesn't your admin panel in phpBB tell you what version you are running? Is it the current version? If not upgrade again.

I believe it does. I'll use that as my guide, I suppose.

Thanks for the help. Now off to update a few boards again. :clapping:
