boxturt Posted June 25, 2003 Posted June 25, 2003 I've discovered cpanel is a bit quirky regarding cgi-bin and especially *.cgi scripts. I much prefer to use FTP for these files. If you need a good free FTP program try: http://cuteftp/cuteftp/ http://www.visicommedia.com/ (AceFtp) http://www.ipswitch.com/ As far as the permissions not changing in cpanel you may want to consider starting a help ticket. imadsurfer Posted June 25, 2003 Posted June 25, 2003 I had a problem changing permissions on a folder today. Tried using CPanel, tried using FTP Pro. They both said it was a success, and indeed it wasn't. I ended up deleting the folder and recreating it with file-manager. Then when I set the permissions they stuck. I have no idea why that worked...but it did... ImaD Quote
