dvilloldo Posted June 16, 2006 Posted June 16, 2006 Hi. Before now I thinking spamassassin filter don't work for mailman mailing lists. But now I can see the posts from a mailing list arrive through mailman to the subscriptors have spamassassin headers (X-Spam-Checker-Version, X-Spam-Level, X-Spam-Status). I need (as mailing lists administrator) to moderate ONE by ONE all the mails, and A LOT of spam arriving my mailing lists. Seems like spamassassin filter is AFTER the mailman moderation control. Is this right? Because maybe the solution is take out the moderation, and let spamassassin work by himself... Thanks. Quote
dapozo Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 I had the same problem and just set Mailman to reject email from non-members. This way real people who are honestly trying to join the list will get a message saying how to get in contact with the list owner and join. Otherwise, set Mailman to delete emails from non-members if you don't care. These options are under, Privacy --> Sender filters --> "Action to take for postings from non-members for which no explicit action is defined." Quote
