I keep getting automated e-mails saying I needed to upgrade my phpBB:

"Installed: v2.0.20

Latest: v2.0.19"

Can this be right? I'm having flashbacks to 1984 when Winston's chocolate ration was increased from 30g to 20g.

Hey Javaguy,

I've seen similar behavior when I initially installed a piece of software using the cPanel link, but then updated the software manually. cPanel doesn't CHECK your installation to know what version is currently running. It just knows what version it installed.

My guess is that maybe you got out of synch this way.

If not, then maybe the newest installation is available on your cPanel, but for some reason the cPanel folks didn't renumber the newest installation by accident.

Best wishes!
