E-mail Forwarders

Hello,

What's the path of the file in which e-mail forwarders are stored?

(on my former host it was /home/user/.redirect , but I don't find it here)

I have a script that modifies such a file, and I need to install it here.

Welcome to the TCH forums. I don't know the answer to your question. I checked out my site, and I can't find which file stores that information.

I too looked at all my files and do not see my forwards.

 

If you had cpanel and used cpanel > backup > download alias

you can restore them the same way.

 

I am going to guess we do not have access to that file,

but you can open a help desk ticket to ask the techs.

The forwards are in /etc/valiases/your_tch_domain_name.tld

 

but you generally don't have access from a script. What is the script, and what do you want to do ?

This is a simple PHP script that allows each member of the site (which belongs to a club) to change his forward target e-mail adress.

 

Can you please give my script write access to the file?

You cannot write to this file with a script I don't belive as it is in a system folder.

 

Open a help desk ticket and they will confirm or tell you how to do it. Link at top of page or in my signature.
