kahill Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 I've tried to find information about handling email that is forwarded. A client absolutely refuses to set up their computer with POP3 and insists everything be forwarded to their ISP email account. They also refuse to log in to webmail and delete the emails off the email server. I do not find any evidence that the Email Setup Options provide a way to automatically delete emails off the email server once it is forwarded to the clients home ISP email account. Is there an option somewhere I am missing that will do this? I don't want to have to go in and manually maintain this account. Any options?? Quote
Madmanmcp Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 Delete the email account and keep the forward. The email sent to that account will be forwarded and it will not be kept on the server because there is no account. Quote
TCH-JimE Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 Hello Kahill, You have to be careful, if this person is recieving a lot of email, huge amounts of fowards could end up with blacklisting/spam recognition problems. Normally everyone I know can't wait to get rid of thier ISP email addresses JimE Quote
