Deverill Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 Hi everyone, Background: My Pastor asked me to set up a small network of emails for our church staff. Problem: On only one computer at church we kept getting PHP errors from Squirrel Mail. Horde failed almost every time too. I knew it wasn't on TCHs end because it worked from other computers at our church. Answer: I did some research and found that Google Accelerator will cause this problem. The reason was that the prefetch was, in essence, clicking crazy links at the wrong times. In fact, I also read that since the prefetch looks at your mouse location, you could accidentally "click" on "Delete Message" just by having your mouse in the wrong spot and your mail is gone! One of the guys in the technology team loaded it to speed things up. It is not worth it! Google Accel said it saved us about 5 mins in over a month so it's no help to speak of. I just wanted to let anyone considering or using Google Accelerator know the problems it caused me just in case you start seeing weird stuff. Quote
