Hi all

I'm having anguish at the moment, trying to sort out the vagaries of the MT search module. This is a bit involved so excuse me.

Initially I wanted to organize some keyword indexing. I've used keywords successfully before with the RelatedKeywords plugin. This time round, having upgraded to v3.2, I have listed the entry keywords on the individual archives. However, after following all the instructions (which I refer to in an unanswered MT forum post), the search results parsed by the keywords are not as keyword specific as they should be, hardly better than straight searches.

After setting up a test blog to sort this out, I got much better results but not perfect. I'm wondering whether there's some corruption in my main blog to cause all the innacurate results. Is there some cron job I should do on my database, or some other type of maintenance which might help? Suggestions appreciated.

Besides the keyword searching problem I've also noticed that straight searches yield pretty wild results too. Results are wholly unrelated, or search for the string within other words, tone in stone, or evolution in revolution, or even more drastic. I'm wondering how that can be right. At this stage, despite being a 'paid up' MT user (SixApart regard my help tickets with incomprehension), I'm thinking about moving platform.. what with all this tag soup, (am I a clanger? No.)

Any help much appreciated!

Richard
