hi, i'm trying to get phrom or phorm jr to work. i'm having problems installing them.

how do i find the path to my php interpreter?

also, when i hit submit on my test page or even in the phorm jr example, it asks to open phormjr.php?

why is it tyring to open this file in dreamweaver and not submitting the form to my email?

any help would be appreciated.

thanks!

Hi mtcolossus,

Welcome to the forums :)

Is this on the server? Or on your computer? On the server it is /usr/bin/php

Can you give us a link to the test form?

Welcome to the forum, mrcolossus

hi, thanks,

this is on my computer and its just the tes form that comes with phorm jr.

the form.html, ack.html, widgets-err.html pages?

whenever i try to submit on that page, it opens up a window saying that i'm trying to open up phormjr.php and that its a php file. my computer wants to open it in dreamweaver. it does the same thing for any form that i create and try w/ phorm.php or phormjr.php.

thanks

Do you have an apache server installed on your computer?

and are you going to the form page as http://localhost/folder/filename?

With out your own server php files will not run and may open with whatever owns the php extension.

On my computer that is also firefox.

yes, i installed both apache 2 and php 5. using what i found on the internet. ./configure \ then the make and the sudo make install.

First of all bumping threads is against the Forum Guidelines.

That being said, please allow some time for someone to respond. Maybe the person that can answer your question just hasn't seen it yet.

There are other resources. like Google or the Phorm site, you can use to find an answer if you can't wait to see if someone responds here.
