I'm trying to upload pics in WP 2 and I get an error saying "Unable to create direcory /home/luckyvi/public_html/weblog/wp-content/uploads. Is /home/luckyvi/public_html/weblog/wp-content/uploads writable?"

I'd prefer not having a 777 folder lying about. Is there a way to avoid this and still upload files via the WP 2 interface?

Welcome to the forum luckyvi :)

Set the permissions to 755, and open a ticket at the help desk, and ask us to change the owner of the uploads directory to "nobody".

Will do. Thank you for the assistance and the welcoming.

I've been very happy with the service and support that TCH has provided me with over the past couple of years.

I recommend you often.
