jclick Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 I've looked for "add on domain" in cpanel but do not see it. Is it in everyone elses? Quote
TCH-Don Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 Welcome to the forum, jclick Unless you have a reseller account you will not have addon domains. Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 Welcome to the forum, jclick. As Don says, you can not have add on domains unless you have a reseller account, however, you can have parked domains (several domains pointing to the same root). To park domains, you will need to submit a ticket to the helpdesk and ask them to park them for you (link in my signature). Quote
jclick Posted February 9, 2006 Author Posted February 9, 2006 Thanks for your responses. What does a "parked domain" give you. For instance, I have a blog setup at 4clicksgps.com/wordpress and I have the domain clickshouse.com redirecting to 4clicksgps.com/wordpress. Would a "parked domain" work any differently? Thanks, Jason Quote
TCH-Andy Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Hi Jason, An add-on domain such as clickshouse.com using a subdomain - such as to 4clicksgps.com/wordpress is against our terms. Parked domains point to exactly the same space as your main domain (ie, you can only redirect to the main domain, not a sub-domain). In this case clickhouse.com would go to the same files as 4clicksgps.com. The best option is either multiple accounts or (as I do myself) a reseller account, then you can host them all easily. Quote
