wampthing Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 Fantastico is a third party installation script that goes into CPanel. With just a few clicks photo galleries, and blogs can be installed. I was curious as to if anyone knows of a reason why TCH doesn't have this (not to imply that they should). I wonder if it is just messy to have, cost prohibitive, or maybe insecure. thanks Quote
Madmanmcp Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 If I remember correctly, TCH has no control over what is available in cpanel. The makers of cpanel decide what apps are included in it. Quote
TCH-Rob Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 I think messy and cost prohibitive might fall into the answer as well. Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 Also, those scripts do not always work or they are versions behind what is current. I still prefer to go to the author's site of the scripts I want to install and download and install them myself manually. Sure it's nice to be able to just click a link and have something installed but do you really learn anything from it? What if it breaks? Will you be able to fix it? Quote
