Guest Guest-Danielle Posted December 24, 2005 Posted December 24, 2005 Heya! ) I'm currently with a webhosting company that seems to be having some difficulties and I've been looking at other options when I ran across Total Choice. With my current situation I have a reseller account with several live domains and quite a few more parked. I did see the reseller options for hosting and I'm rather interested but I did have a few questions and I was unable to locate any answers for them yet. ) I was curious if there is any cost to transfer domains from my old webhosting company over to Total Choice and if so, what that cost would be. Again, if there is a cost is it a flat fee or depend upon whether the domain you are moving is parked or active? On a reseller account I understand you are not limited to what active domains you have, would that also apply to domains you parked? And with the reseller account do you have personal control over the parked domains (ie if one was parked and you wanted to make it active could you do it or would you need to contact someone to do it for you)? I also noticed that there is no yearly amount listed for the reseller accounts, is it possible to prepay them for a year? Thanks so much for any help!! ) Quote

TCH-Bruce Posted December 24, 2005 Posted December 24, 2005 Welcome to the forums Danielle I was curious if there is any cost to transfer domains from my old webhosting company over to Total Choice and if so, what that cost would be. Again, if there is a cost is it a flat fee or depend upon whether the domain you are moving is parked or active? The fee is $10.95 per domain name which also adds a year to your current expiration date. You do not need to transfer your domain names, it is your choice. If you can manage the DNS setting for the domains you only need to change them to point to your new IP. On a reseller account I understand you are not limited to what active domains you have, would that also apply to domains you parked?Correct And with the reseller account do you have personal control over the parked domains (ie if one was parked and you wanted to make it active could you do it or would you need to contact someone to do it for you)? As a reseller you could do it yourself. For virtual accounts you must open a help desk ticket to have it done. I also noticed that there is no yearly amount listed for the reseller accounts, is it possible to prepay them for a year? Reseller accounts are month to month. Quote
