Since yesterday I have had problems accessing my website files via FTP on a number of my websites.

Basically, it logs in to the server, but beyond public.html it stalls at:

150 Opening ASCII mode data connection for file list

If I cancel I then see some of my files, but not them all - in particular Wordpress directories are missing.

Any ideas if this is a temp thing because of the migration?

Please open a ticket with the help desk. Since you asked if this is problem since the migration it may be and only the help desk would be able to answer.

Okay, Richard on the Support Desk got back to me within 20 minutes and found everything to be okay, but I still had the problem from my end. Checked via another computer, same problem. Richard checked again and found everything to be okay, but I still had the problem.

This is where 99% of all hosting companies assume the customer has lost the plot and offer no further help.

Not TCH. Bill Kish checked it too and found all to be okay and told me that it was a client side issue. He then offered the advice I needed to find and solve the problem.

And that's what I did. The firmware for my Router was timing me out when logging in to directories that contained more than a few files. I upgraded the firmware and hey presto I'm back in business.

A big apology for wasting everyone's time today.

But this is just yet another example of why TCH rocks! :)

Thank you TCH!
