I think this is the regular monthly patch that comes out on Tuesday.

The world's largest software maker issued a patch to fix the problem as part of its monthly security bulletin.

Its not a new bug, just an old one that is finally being fixed.

Now I went to Windows Update yesterday checking for updates and didn't get any...guess I went a little too early and it wasn't posted yet. I'll have to check again today.

Y'know, here's one benefit to Linux. You go to a site, download the OS, install it and you're done. With MS Windows you get out your CD, install the OS, then spend the next 2 days doing the "Update-reboot-repeat" cycle to get all the patches. There's gotta be a bazillion of them and half need a reboot before you can proceed. Really annoying in IT departments like ours.

I wish I could convince them to go Linux!

I would go to linux, but not really willing to learn all the coding, but I enjoy FF and think I will keep it as my browser for now.

Yeah, its a big pain in the rear end. Awhile back M$ came out with a Security or Update CD and it had all the current (at that time) updates and patches on it. It was free and I of course ordered it from them. It was shortly before SP2 came out I believe. I use it often and it cuts down the number of downloads and reboots that are needed on fresh installs.
