Redirecting Http://www.mydomain.tld/webmail

Currently http://www.mydomain.tld/webmail redirects to http://www.mydomain.tld:2095/. Is there any way to change this to https://www.mydomain.tld:2096/? I've tried using .htaccess (see below), but it doesn't seem to have any effect.

Instead of trying to create a redirect why don't you just access it like this?

 

>https://youTCHdomain.tld:2096/horde/index.php

The redirect happens before your .htaccess is looked at, so you won't be able to change that in your .htaccess.

It's easier to redirect a URL than it is to reteach users.

One solution I have done before would be to create a subdomain that redirects... for instance webmail.yourtchdomain.ext, which redirects to https://yourtchdomain.ext:2096/horde/index.php. This can be done easily in cpanel.
