Good day,

Hopefully you guys will be able to answer these questions. Kind of a cross between billing questions and security questions...

I am looking to set up SSL on a portion of one of my sites. I was actually thinking of using the shared SSL that TCH offers. I have a few questions about it....

Who at TCH would I have to contact about getting the SSL? Also, who is responsible for the installation of the shared SSL? I have never done it before, but would like to learn since I am branching out into ecommerce work.

Lastly, I am waiting for my reseller account that I had upgraded to on last Thursday to become active, and would like to offer SSL to those that are hosted under my reseller account. Is the shared SSL available for this also, or would I have to purchase a cert for this purpose?

Please let me know if these questions are appropriate for this area. As I said earlier, they are kind of "hybrid" questions between security and billing and tech support.......

Thanks,

smblkc

Hi smblkc,

Shared SSL is provided by TCH on virtual servers (not reseller servers). There is nothing to setup as it's already available to you now. You can find more information including how to use the shared SSL in the TCH Help.

For reseller servers, TCH does not provide shared SSL solutions. You will be required to purchase an SSL certificate if you want to provide SSL.

Any questions about or requests for SSL can be submitted through the help desk.
