We run our own server in house at a small community college. I have one account that has all the rights but she is unable to see anything in the folder. Others that have the same rights have no problem at all. I have had her try it on several computer to no avail. She discribed the problem to me as she could see the folders at one time then they just started to disapear, she relogged and then couldn't see anything. I have signed on as her and it will let me in to the folder but i can not do a thing or see anything.

Hi Bill, You may have better luck asking on a forum that pertains to Windows users who have more experience with users and rights.

With thats said, your problem may be in the rights you assigned to a user group. Sometimes one set of "rights" will override another set of rights simply by adding the user to another group. So look at which groups she is a member of and what rights the groups have. I suspect its a group you added her to just before the problem started. You could even remove her from a group, one at a time and check her access. If the files are seen you know which group has the rights problem.

Hey Bill, Welcome to the forums!!

I was going to suggest moving the site to a company that manages servers for you... Maybe someplace like TCH!

But then, I decided that it might not be that helpful... Oh well.

Good luck. Hope it works for you.
